Learning & Development

Intellectual growth should commence at birth and cease only at death.” ~ Albert Einstein

Learning is something that is integral to living, and indeed we have the opportunity for lifelong learning where we can engage the mind and body in the active pursuit of knowledge and experience from birth to death.

Here at McLean Care® we love learning!

Our dedicated Learning and Development team are committed to ensuring that when you work for McLean Care you are provided with a robust learning program to ensure you can be the best you can be.

With regular training sessions and opportunities to partake in workshops and seminars, McLean Care staff strive to embrace a learning culture.

Right from the start with our orientation and induction program you are supported to become a valued team player and become familiar with our unique Model of Care and how that applies directly to you in your role…..whatever that may be..

Ongoing professional development and external training opportunities are coupled with our online learning approach to ensure you have access to a well-rounded learning and development program that enhances your natural abilities.

Our passion for learning and development, drives us to ensure that opportunities are available for ALL staff to not only improve their knowledge and skills in the workplace, but also unleash the urge to seek out learning opportunities that nurture individual interests and promote self-development.

Volunteering at McLean Care®

Volunteering is more than just something nice that people can do; it goes far deeper than that, and has the potential to make a very real impact on the lives of others, and give you a deeper sense of purpose and value. Assisting older people to feel and stay connected and involved can be both exciting and challenging, yet the natural community connector understands how important it is to make and maintain these connections, and find ways to make it happen. Volunteers get things done, have a ‘can do’ attitude, and make an enormous impact on the health and wellbeing of their communities, making a difference in the day-to-day lives of so many. McLean Care® Volunteers enjoy their interactions with our residents and clients, sharing stories, experiences, skills, and introducing new and interesting activities.

When you’re ready to share your life experiences, passion, and unique skill set with the McLean Care® family, please contact us via our contact form, or for further information please call us on 1300 791 600. Let’s get started.
